BNV : এরপর যিহূদার লোকরা অমত্‌সিযর জায়গায় কিশোর উষিযকে নতুন রাজা হিসেবে নিযুক্ত করলো| উষিয মাত্র 16 বছর বয়সে রাজা হয়ে 52 বছর জেরুশালেমে শাসন করেছিলেন| তাঁর পিতার মৃত্যুর পর তিনি ‘এলত্‌’ শহরটি নতুন করে বানিয়ে যিহূদাকে ফেরত্‌ দিয়েছিলেন|উষিযর মা য়িখলিযা ছিলেন জেরুশালেমের বাসিন্দা|
KJV : Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who [was] sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.
YLT : And all the people of Judah take Uzziah (and he [is] a son of sixteen years), and cause him to reign instead of his father Amaziah.

BNV : উষিয প্রভুর বাধ্য ছিলেন এবং তাঁর পিতা অমত্‌সিযর মত জীবনযাপন করেছিলেন|
KJV : And he did [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
YLT : And he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Amaziah his father did,

BNV : সখরিয়র জীবদ্দশায় তাঁর কাছ থেকে শিক্ষা লাভ করে ও অনুপ্রেরণা পেয়ে উষিয ঈশ্বরকে অনুসরণ করেছিলেন| আর ঈশ্বরের প্রতি যতদিন তাঁর অবিচল ভক্তি ছিল প্রভু ঈশ্বরও তাঁকে সাফল্য দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.
YLT : and he is as one seeking God in the days of Zechariah who hath understanding in visions of God: and in the days of his seeking Jehovah, God hath caused him to prosper.

ERVEN : Uzziah followed God in the time of Zechariah's life. Zechariah taught Uzziah how to respect and obey God. When Uzziah was obeying the Lord, God gave him success.

BNV : উষিয পলেষ্টীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন, গাত, য়ব্নি ও অস্দোদ শহরগুলোর চারপাশের প্রাচীর ভেঙ্গে ফেলেছিলেন এবং অস্দোদ ও পলেষ্টীয় অধ্য়ুষিত অন্যান্য অঞ্চলগুলিতে নতুন শহরসমূহ তৈরী করেছিলেন|
KJV : And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines.

ERVEN : Uzziah fought a war against the Philistines. He tore down the walls around the towns of Gath, Jabneh, and Ashdod. Uzziah built towns near the town of Ashdod and in other places among the Philistines.

BNV : পলেষ্টীয় ও গূরবালে বসবাসকারী আরবীয ও মিযূনীযদের বিরুদ্ধে যখন উষিয যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন, প্রভু উষিযর সহায়তা করেছিলেন|

BNV : অম্মোনীয়রা উষিযর বশ্যতা স্বীকার করে তাঁকে উপঢৌকন পাঠায| তাঁর অসীম সাহসের খ্যাতি মিশরের সীমান্ত পর্য়ন্ত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে কারণ তিনি খুব ক্ষমতাশালী হয়ে উঠেছিলেন|
KJV : And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad [even] to the entering in of Egypt; for he strengthened [himself] exceedingly.

BNV : জেরুশালেমের কোণার ফটকে, উপত্যকার ফটকে এবং প্রাচীরের বাঁকের মুখে উষিয সুদৃঢ় নজরদারি স্তম্ভসমূহ তৈরী করেছিলেন এবং সেগুলোর সবগুলোকে দূর্গ দিয়ে বেষ্টিত করেছিলেন|
KJV : Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning [of the wall,] and fortified them.

BNV : উষিয জনহীন স্থানে কযেকটি গম্বুজ বানিয়েছিলেন, কারণ পার্বত্য অঞ্চলে ও সমভূমিতে তাঁর বিস্তর গবাদি পশু ছিল| তিনি পাহাড়তলী এবং উপত্যকাবর্তী সমভূমিতে কৃষকও রেখেছিলেন ও কারমেলে দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত দেখাশোনার লোক রেখেছিলেন যেহেতু তিনি কৃষিকাজ ভালবাসতেন|
KJV : Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen [also,] and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.

BNV : উষিযর একটি সুদক্ষ সেনাবাহিনীও ছিল| য়িযূযেল নামে এক সচিব ও মাসেয নামে জনৈক অধ্যক্ষ মিলে গুণে গেঁথে সেনাবাহিনীটিকে কযেকটি দলে বিভক্ত করে হনানিযকে প্রধান সেনাপতি পদে নিয়োগ করেছিলেন| হনানিয ছিলেন রাজার অধীনস্থ পদস্থ চাকুরেদের অন্যতম|
KJV : Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, [one] of the king’s captains.
YLT : And Uzziah hath a force, making war, going forth to the host, by troops, in the number of their reckoning by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Masseiah the officer, by the hand of Hananiah [one] of the heads of the king.

BNV : জেরুশালেমে প্রাচীরের ওপরে এবং নজরদারির স্তম্ভগুলোর ওপরে পারদর্শীদের দ্বারা আবিস্কৃত বিশেষ ধরণের গুলতিসমূহ বসানো হয়েছিল যেগুলো পাথর ও তীর ছুঁড়তে পারত| দূরদূরান্তে উষিযর খ্যাতি ছড়িয়ে পড়ে এবং তিনি এমে বিখ্যাত ও শক্তিশালী এক রাজায পরিণত হন|
KJV : And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
YLT : And he maketh in Jerusalem inventions -- a device of an inventor -- to be on the towers, and on the corners, to shoot with arrows and with great stones, and his name goeth out unto a distance, for he hath been wonderfully helped till that he hath been strong.

ERVEN : In Jerusalem, Uzziah made machines that were invented by clever men. These machines were put on the towers and corner walls. They shot arrows and large rocks. Uzziah became famous. People knew his name in far away places. He had much help and became a powerful king.

BNV : কিন্তু শক্তি বৃদ্ধির সঙ্গে সঙ্গে উষিযর দম্ভ তাঁকে ধ্বংসের মুখে ঠেলে দেয, কারণ তিনি প্রভু, তাঁর ঈশ্বরের প্রতি অশ্রদ্ধা প্রকাশ করতে শুরু করেন| এমনকি উষিয একবার প্রভুর মন্দিরের বেদীতে ধুপধূনো জ্বালাতেও গিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to [his] destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
YLT : And at his being strong his heart hath been high unto destruction, and he trespasseth against Jehovah his God, and goeth in unto the temple of Jehovah to make perfume upon the altar of perfume.
RV : But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up so that he did corruptly, and he trespassed against the LORD his God; for he went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
RSV : But when he was strong he grew proud, to his destruction. For he was false to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.

ERVEN : But when Uzziah became strong, his pride caused him to be destroyed. He was not faithful to the Lord his God. He went into the Lord's Temple to burn incense on the altar for burning incense.

BNV : যাজক অসরিয় ও প্রভুর সেবায নিযুক্ত আরো 80 জন সাহসী যাজক ও উষিযকে অনুসরণ করেন|
KJV : And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, [that were] valiant men:
YLT : And Azariah the priest goeth in after him, and with him priests of Jehovah eighty, sons of valour,

ERVEN : Azariah the priest and 80 brave priests who served the Lord followed Uzziah into the Temple.

BNV : তাঁরা উষিযকে থামিয়ে দেন ও সতর্ক করে বলেন, “ধুপধূনো জ্বালাবার অধিকার আপনার নেই, এ কাজ একমাত্র হারোণের এবং যাজক উত্তরপুরুষরা করতে পারেন কারণ এ কাজের জন্য তাঁদের নির্দিষ্ট করা হয়েছে| আপনি অনুগ্রহ করে পবিত্রতমস্থান থেকে চলে যান| আপনি অনধিকার প্রবেশ করেছেন এবং এটা প্রভুর কাছ থেকে আপনাকে সম্মান এনে দেবে না|”
KJV : And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, [It appertaineth] not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither [shall it be] for thine honour from the LORD God.
YLT : and they stand up against Uzziah the king, and say to him, `Not for thee, O Uzziah, to make perfume to Jehovah, but for priests, sons of Aaron, who are sanctified to make perfume; go forth from the sanctuary, for thou hast trespassed, and [it is] not to thee for honour from Jehovah God.`

ERVEN : They told Uzziah he was wrong and said to him, "Uzziah, it is not your job to burn incense to the Lord. It is not good for you to do this. The priests and Aaron's descendants are the ones who burn incense to the Lord. These priests were trained for holy service to burn incense. Go out of the Most Holy Place. You have not been faithful. The Lord God will not honor you for this."

BNV : কিন্তু একথা শুনে, উষিয যাজকদের প্রতি অত্যন্ত রুদ্ধ হলেন| তাঁর হাতে ছিল একটি ধুনুচি এবং সেসমযে যাজকদের চোখের সামনে বেদীর পাশে দাঁড়ানো অবস্থাতেই উষিযর কপালে কুষ্ঠরোগের লক্ষণ ফুটে উঠলো|
KJV : Then Uzziah was wroth, and [had] a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.
YLT : And Uzziah is wroth, and in his hand [is] a censer to make perfume, and in his being wroth with the priests -- the leprosy hath risen in his forehead, before the priests, in the house of Jehovah, from beside the altar of perfume.

ERVEN : But Uzziah was angry. He had a bowl in his hand for burning incense. While Uzziah was very angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead. This happened in front of the priests in the Lord's Temple by the altar for burning incense.

BNV : অসরিয় ও অন্যান্য যাজকরা উষিযর কপালে কুষ্ঠর চিহ্ন ফুটে উঠতে দেখে জোর করে তাঁকে মন্দির থেকে বের করে দিলেন| উষিয দ্রুত মন্দির ছেড়ে চলে গেলেন কারণ শাস্তিস্বরূপ প্রভু তাঁকে চর্মরোগ দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he [was] leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.

ERVEN : Azariah the leading priest and all the priests looked at Uzziah. They could see the leprosy on his forehead. The priests quickly forced him out from the Temple. Uzziah himself hurried out because the Lord had punished him.

BNV : এইভাবে মৃত্যুর দিন অবধি রাজা উষিযর চর্মরোগ ছিল এবং তিনি প্রভুর মন্দিরে প্রবেশের অধিকার হারালেন| তাঁর পুত্র য়োথম তাঁর রাজত্বের শেষদিকে শাসক হিসেবে রাজপ্রাসাদ ও লোকদের ওপর কর্তৃত্ব করতেন|
